Monica founded Ortega Wellness with the intention of dedicating the practice to her parent's legacy. Over the past decade, she has flourished into a strong, independent business owner and is always ready to take on new challenges. Monica holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, among other degrees and certifications. With a compassionate and holistic approach, Monica ensures that every patient feels heard, valued, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey. Whether addressing hormonal imbalances, optimizing wellness, or managing chronic conditions, She takes pride in offering high-quality, individualized care that prioritizes patient health and longevity.
MELISSA SEDILLO, MSN, MBA, RN
Business Manager
Melissa has been a nurse for over 17 years and spent the majority of her career in the Trauma/Surgical ICU at UNMH. She then transitioned into leadership roles. Melissa is currently the business manager at Ortega Wellness.

Erica Moberg
APRN, FNP-C
Erica is new to our team and is accepting new patients. She is native a New Mexican and understands the our community needs. Erica is passionate about patient education and holistic care, She believes in empowering patients to take charge of their health through informed decision-making and lifestyle interventions. Hergoal is to improve community health outcomes by providing accessible, evidence-based care with a patient-centered approach.

DNP, APRN-CNP
Aaron Lesser earned his Doctorate of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020. He has had an extensive career in the healthcare field, ranging from Trauma Surgical ICU and behavioral health to clinical instructor. He has recently became a professor at the UNM College of Nursing.
MONICA ARENCON-SMITH
MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, CNP
Monica has extensive experience with pediatric patients and women’s health. She received her LPN license at the age 17.
With a deep passion for patient-centered care, Monica is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner committed to providing the most up-to-date and evidence-based treatments. Specializing in hormone replacement therapy (HRT), She helps patients achieve optimal health and well-being through personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

APRN, FNP-C
Nicole is a board certified nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience in a step-down unit within a hospital setting. She is motivated to provide individualized quality care for patients from all walks of life. Nicole is a reliable and trustworthy professional who advocates for patients and their families.
Suzanne Huntsman
DNP, APRN-CNP
Dr Suzanne is a dedicated and compassionate provider. She brings over 12 years of nursing experience in critical care and recovery, caring for some of the sickest patients in New Mexico. As a member of the ECMO team at UNMH, Suzanne provided specialized care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Now, as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she is committed to serving the New Mexico community through primary care, family practice, and preventive health. Her passion lies in building lasting relationships with patients, promoting wellness, and improving health outcomes for individuals and families across all stages of life.
